Exploiting the Mary Cheney gaffe
Dick and Lynne Cheney have both made public, high-profile statements condemning John Kerry for his entirely gratuitous reference to their daughter in last night's debate. If they really want to stick the shiv in, the campaign ought to get Mary Cheney herself to give a brief statement. Something like:
Senator Kerry does not speak for me, and I don't appreciate his attempt to put words in my mouth. I'm voting for George W. Bush and my father, and I urge everyone else to do the same.
As far as I know, Mary Cheney is working for the campaign. Where is she?
